The entitlements for wideband and Canada Full Frequency Range are free, but you have to be able to show that you have a legitimate CPS license. Similar to the idea with Canada Full Frequency Range, which lets you program 800MHz frequencies above 866MHz if you can show that the radio is going to be used in Canada. You need a code for each PC you run CPS on.
If that comes back OK, CPS will let you program wideband frequencies on that PC only. Basically, you get a code that you type into standard MOTOTRBO CPS, which then gets authenticated against Motorola's servers. Wideband TX is critical for analog ham operation. I'll be in a position to start experimenting very soon.
Moto will then supply special CPS (an 'entitlement') which allows for wideband programming. However, one can sign an agreement with Moto, promising not to use the TRBO radio on narrowband-enfoced frequencies. One cannot select 25 KHz channel spacing (5 KHz deviation). How to obtain 25kz entitlement keys In order to obtain the 25kz keys that will allow for wide band programing, their is a narrow band training that you have to take. If any one here can help, I will that person out with some of what i can do. Hi I'm new, But I've just deleted firmware and the code plug from Mtp850 and I can't get CPS to recover the radio.
